Transforming Pavements Sustainably

Recycled Rubber Compounds

The future of pavements is a harmonious combination of sustainability and performance. Faced with a global challenge of waste tyres, REVYRE introduces REVPOL, our innovative Recycled Rubber Polymer Compound, to transform and enhance your pavements responsibly.

From improving viscosity to enhancing fatigue resistance, REVPOL opens up new avenues for applications. The benefits lie not just in its superior characteristics, but in sustainability—and eco-friendly solutions to meet your needs.

REVYRE’s comprehensive assessment of our Recycled Rubber Polymer (REVPOL) involved a series of rigorous NZTA M01-A tests, which focused on the performance of REVPOL when incorporated into bitumen binders. We examined six different bitumen binders, including two unmodified 60/70 binders, to gain insights into the impact of REVPOL on various essential characteristics.

REVPOL Characteristics

REVYRE conducted initial trials using REVPOL to modify base 60/70 bitumen binders in increasing amounts. The modified binders were tested against the M01-A specification and significant performance benefits were observed.

The tests demonstrated remarkable performance enhancements that our Recycled Rubber Polymer (REVPOL) brings to bitumen binders while making a significant sustainability impact. The modified binders exhibited improved viscosity, rutting resistance and softening point, positioning them as ideal sustainable choices for various applications.

The results also highlighted the consistent and comparable performance of different 60/70 binders when modified with REVPOL. Most importantly, all our binders passed the stringent M01-A specification requirements, underscoring our commitment to providing high-quality and dependable products for our valued customers, all while championing sustainability.

Benefits

  • Low Carbon Choice

Eliminate upstream supply chain emissions associated with production and importation of virgin polymer modifiers.

  • Road Building Impacts

    Road Building Impacts

Reduce the amount of bitumen usage by the reciprocal amount of recycled material included.

  • Improved Rutting Resistance

    Improved Rutting Resistance

Superior rutting resistance comfortably surpassing the M01-A specification requirements.

  • Improved Fatigue and Cracking Resistance

    Improved Fatigue and Cracking Resistance

Assessed through the G*/Sinδ parameters, modified binders showed remarkable improvements as the concentration of REVPOL increased.

  • Improved Traffic Grading and Stress Sensitivity

Improved Traffic Grading and Stress Sensitivity

REVPOL Modified binders achieve higher grades, such as "V" and "E," indicating suitability for roads with heavier traffic loads. Stress sensitivity meets all specification limits, offering assurance of quality.
